Our Wholistic Approach to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

The legal process can take the decision out of the hands of the participants. It can encourage a focus on “winning” (and thus conversely feeds fear of losing), rather than peaceful negotiation.

The court process might appear to you as bureaucratic and often leads to protracted disputes at great cost. It can encourage distrust and often brings out the worst in people.

The Byron Conflict Resolution Gateway works differently.

Our Alternative Approach to Conflict Resolution Services:

  • Conflicts can be a motor for positive change in your life!
  • We can use the energy generated by the conflict for movement and transformation.
  • Conflicts can be engaged with positively, in a non-adversarial way.
  • Where connection is established, creative win-win solutions arise naturally.

How Does it Work?

We can support you through your conflict situation on 4 different spheres.

Forensic Accounting

Please click on the areas above to read more.

These spheres often overlap and work done on one sphere, can support the work on another sphere (e.g. building up your communication skills, will most likely assist you in the mediation process).

As a preliminary stage, we will meet you. We will listen to your needs, and assess which of the spheres might serve you best. We want to know what really matters to you so we can help you achieve your desired outcome.

The Directors of the relevant spheres will then be contacted, and will work together as a team to form a customized plan for your particular situation which will include a cost estimate. We put our utmost care and effort into these plans, and will make sure that they actually suit your needs.

You will then be accompanied through the process of resolving the conflict by the professionals appointed to your matter. They will assist you not only to resolve the particular issue, but to use it as an opportunity to gain tools and skills which can transform your life:

  • Bring in more empathy and connection with yourself and others through communication and relating skills.
  • Heal past wounding and patterning which are limiting your wellbeing.
  • Become aware of unconscious dynamics that prevent you from living in alignment with your values and goals.

Byron Bay and Bundjalung Acknowledgment

Many regard Byron Bay as a place of healing and reconciliation. The Bundjalung people who have inhabited this area for at least 20,000 years knew it as Cavvanba, “meeting place”. It was and continues to be a place of spiritual significance and inspiration.

“We respectfully acknowledge the past and present traditional owners of this land,
the Bundjalung people.
Together we acknowledge the contributions of Aboriginal Australians
and non-Aboriginal Australians to the education of us and all children
and people in this country we all live in and share together.”
